The Orion ED EON triplet telescope - a first class instrument for discerning observers / photographers!
This Orion telescope is of interest to all ambitious astronomers - those who enjoy observing the solar system and deep-sky objects, as well as those of us who love capturing imposing night sky images in photos.
The triplet optics are fully multi-coated, with one of the three lens elements made from FPL-51 ED glass to eliminate chromatic aberration as much as possible and to guarantee a pin-sharp image. The lens elements are separated by an air gap and are blackened at the edges to further increase contrast.
The focuser - a Crayford unit with 1:10 reduction ratio fine focusing - is well designed and matches the quality of the instrument itself. The fine focusing ratio allows the focuser be focused very precisely - this is absolutely essential, especially in the case of astrophotography! Many other accessories can be connected to the 3" focuser.
A sophisticated package for demanding astronomers - and at a very reasonable price which is rarely to be found for an instrument of this quality!
