In this sphere you will find all 88 defined star constellations and the corresponding 5068 stars of our night sky visible to the naked eye.
In cooperation with the astronomer Dr. Dr. Susanne Hoffmann we have designed the connecting lines based on historical and modern sources, because the constellations were defined in 1933 only by their outer boundaries.
2D and 3D: In the 3D variant the distances of the stars to earth is included. You can perceive the logarithmically scaled distances to the stars. The 2D version shows the classic celestial sphere.
