Since 1989, the Californian Santa Barbara Instrument Group (SBIG) has been developing CCD-sensor cameras for astronomy. This makes SBIG a real pioneer and it has set many new standards. SBIG cameras are used in professional astronomers’ observatories.

Since 2014, the SBIG brand belongs to Diffraction Limited, a Canadian company.
